Released as a nigerian remake of the american version, the song tells stories of the struggles nigerians go through on daily basis in the hands of security operatives and issues of bad governance in the country.
shortly after the release of it's official video, criticism by muslim faithfuls poured around social media and media houses.most notably, muslim rights concern (MURIC) wrote to the nigeria broadcasting commission (NBC), asking the commission to ban tv stations from playing the music video.
NBC subsequently banned the music video from being played on local tv stations within the country, this however didn't deter the song from topping charts in the country.
